PDO thread lifts

Gentle repositioning for skin that has started to descend.

PDO thread lifts

What it is

PDO threads are dissolvable sutures placed under the skin to lift and reposition tissue, most often along the jawline, cheeks or brow. It sits between what filler can do and what surgery does, and it is not right for everyone. Melissa will tell you plainly at consultation if she thinks you are better served by something else.

The appointment

  1. A consultation covering whether threads are the right tool for what is bothering you.

  2. Mapping and marking the lift vectors on the day.

  3. Local numbing, then placement of the threads.

  4. Aftercare instructions, in writing, and a follow-up.

What it is for
  • A softening jawline
  • Descent through the mid-face
  • A heavy or dropping brow
  • Loose skin along the neck
How it feels
The area is numbed first. Clients describe a tugging sensation during placement and a tight, tender feeling for a few days afterwards.
Time in the chair
Around forty-five to ninety minutes depending on the area.
Afterwards
Expect some tenderness and swelling, and plan a quiet few days. Melissa will go through what to avoid, including sleeping position and facial movement.

Individual results vary. Every treatment begins with a consultation, and Melissa will tell you if a treatment is not right for you.
